
Marda has more than 25 years of experience managing HR in multi-national companies on both local and regional settings. She has vast experience in industrial relations, resourcing, compensation and benefits, organization development, people development, talent management, change management, mergers and acquisitions and project management. She worked in the Philippines as Country HR Manager of Maitland-Smith Ltd for 6 years and then moved to Schlumberger Oilfield Services as Country HR Manager and Lead of HR Projects in Asia, a role she handled for 4.5 years. Then she moved to BOC Gases (Philippines) as Vice President for HR, Admin, Quality and Safety and after 2 years was promoted as GM-HR for South-East Asia. After 2 years, she was appointed as a member of BOC Asia HR Services in charge of Change Management, HR Projects and Asia Management Trainee Program covering 12 countries. After a total of 9 years in BOC, she moved to Li & Fung as Regional HR Director in charge of Singapore Hub covering Asia and South Africa. Looking for more challenges, in 2008, she moved to HeidelbergCement where is currently holding the role of HR Director, Asia-Oceania. In her current role, Marda acts as a strategic adviser and provides key support to the CEO of HeidelbergCement Asia-Oceania, who’s also a member of the Managing Board and Global Head of HeidelbergCement Technical Centre. She is in charge of over-all strategic HR matters, change management, and communication in her area. She spearheads and is greatly involved in Top and Senior Managers’ succession planning, compensation and benefits, targets and objectives setting, retention, performance management and development. She also ensures that HR in all countries under her scope,enables the business to deliver its growth objectives by providing strategic and operational support.
